Impatient

Spring will come...
but not soon enough for me!
Here is the promise of Spring (they weren't killed or scared away by all of our frosty chilly weather!!):
Crocuses, daffs and tulips, all on their way up...planted when I was barely able to bend down, due to being highly pregnant!

Spanish Lavender

Botanical name: Lavandula stoechas

Bloom time: Begins in spring, and I have found mine to continue throughout the summer, looking attractive even into early fall.

Care: Deadhead after blooming for a second 'flush' and prune back in early spring, when new growth begins, but be careful not to cut into old wood. Needs shaping, gets spindly. May require mulching over winter.
Plants: 1, at back cutting garden...that is if it survived the winter. I would like to create a hedge of it at the back of the cutting garden.

Things are growing; sprouting, flourishing, blossoming, withering, beginning and ending... it's the story of a garden.
