Misc

These 'hens and chicks' were prettier when they were flat, but now they are definitely more interesting! On Hornby Island, we visited an artist's studio who had these and other similar plants cushioning old chairs...it looked really cool, though a bit un-sittable.
Very interesting seed heads on the clematis.
Love the colors, pretty good for a 5$ basket huh?

Ooo Sarah, I do love your pretty flowers and gardens! How do you keep the moose out of it? Very very nice.

thanks!!
the moose loves flowers, and he's got a word for them, for which I'm thrilled!!
he learned very early not to WALK in the garden, but he does like to pick flowers, so i just try to direct him to the ones i don't mind him picking!!

Now that's a new one...I've heard of a bull in a china shop, but never a moose in a flower garden.

It's good to teach him to appreciate flowers and such. He will be a much better man for it, knowing which flowers to bring home to his wife some day. :)

Things are growing; sprouting, flourishing, blossoming, withering, beginning and ending... it's the story of a garden.
