Botanical name: Lavandula stoechas
Bloom time: Begins in spring, and I have found mine to continue throughout the summer, looking attractive even into early fall.
Care: Deadhead after blooming for a second 'flush' and prune back in early spring, when new growth begins, but be careful not to cut into old wood. Needs shaping, gets spindly. May require mulching over winter.
Plants: 1, at back cutting garden...that is if it survived the winter. I would like to create a hedge of it at the back of the cutting garden.

So nice to see you back again after what seems a long and gray winter!! Love the lavender pic. I too have Spanish Lavender, and it managed to survive in a pot on my back porch. Mind you, it does not look too pretty right now, just some Grey sticks. Hope springs eternal for us gardeners!!
